Avodah Therapy Services provides a faith-based, holistic practice providing therapy for youth, families, and adults in Eugene and the surrounding areas. We specialize in ADHD, trauma, depression, anxiety, and non-medication interventions. We focus on prevention as well as mental health treatment, and are in-network with most private insurances.

Avodah Mission

Through community-based therapy in which we address clients’ needs in their own environments, Avodah seeks to provide holistic therapy for youth, their families, and adults. We address trauma and encourage growth through a variety of therapeutic approaches, incorporating various modalities to instill hope. We offer Christian counseling upon request.

ABOUT MARIAN
Marian has worked as a Child and Family Therapist since 2016. She began Avodah Therapy services in 2018. Marian has a holistic approach to treatment that incorporates alternative methods of therapy, such as canine assisted therapy, group therapy, and various forms of play therapy. She believes in treating the root cause, not just the symptoms, and that parents are the therapeutic influence in a child’s life. Marian wants to empower parents to help their children long-term. She is a local Oregonian, UO alumni (Go Ducks!) and really is a big kid at heart. She offers Christian counseling upon request.

ABOUT ALISSA
Alissa has worked in counseling as a licensed clinician since 2017. Her first few years in counseling were spent in New Mexico. She moved to Oregon and became licensed in Oregon in 2020. Alissa’s desire for her clients is for them to feel safe and supported and encouraged. Healing is a journey, and it takes time. Having someone along for the journey is vital. Alissa would be honored to join you on your journey.

ABOUT LESLIE
Leslie and her family moved to Oregon in 2018. She is a Licensed Professional Counselor in the state of Oregon. Leslie would describe her counseling style as eclectic. She is adept in using multiple treatment modalities depending on the client’s needs. For those looking to integrate their Christian faith into the therapeutic process, Leslie is also trained in how to use biblical counseling in a clinically informed manner. She is driven by a genuine desire to help others navigate their struggles, improve resilience and nurture lasting positive change. Leslie is honored to walk alongside others as they embark on journeys of healing and growth.

ABOUT BRENDAN
Brendan is a seminarian and will be graduating in 2025. He has been counseling under Marian’s supervision for over a year. He has a passion to see individuals and couples realize healing and connectedness. Brendan is trained in biblical counseling for those that would be interested in applying it to their therapy. He was born and raised in Oregon but has lived in and been to places such as eastern Africa and the east coast of America. He has been married for 14 years and has two children. In his off time, Brendan loves hiking, reading and traveling. He has also been known to be a bit of a competitor in games like Mario Kart.

ABOUT TOBY
Toby loves his job as a family therapist. He has lived in the Eugene area for eleven years, after living in California and Washington. Toby has been married to his wife for 24 years and has four children. After working in various “people helping” fields, Toby went back to school in 2022 to complete his master’s in clinical mental health counseling. Toby has worked at Avodah therapy since the beginning of 2024. During his free time Toby can be found hiking with his family and playing golf with his friends.
